All of our eggs, vegetables, grains, legumes, greens, and oils are sourced from organic suppliers. We source all of our beef, chicken, and pork from reputable suppliers in the USA. We have worked tirelessly to ensure only the best possible ingredients make their way into your pup’s bowl.

How much food should I feed my dog?

As a general guideline, refer to our feeding chart for instructions.

However, every dog is different based on several factors including weight, body composition, breed, and activity level. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your veterinarian or a dog nutritionalist to ensure that your pup is getting just the right amount of Dog’s Seat at the Table.

How do I transition my pup?

Making the switch for most dogs means gradually transitioning to new food so their stomach doesn't get upset.

A new diet causes disruption of the microbiome in your dogs gut - but if you take your time, their microbiome will adapt.

It should take around 7-10 days depending on how well your pup does during the transition:

On days 1 and 2: Mix in 25% of Dog’s Seat into the old food.

On days 3-4: Mix in 50% of Dog’s Seat with 50% of the dog's old food

On days 5-6: Mix in 75% of Dog’s Seat with 25% old food

Days 7+: 100% Dog’s Seat!

How do I thaw out a pouch for serving?

We have found it best to thaw out a pouch around 24 hours in advance to serving. If you have bigger dog, that eats more than one pouch a day, it may be more convenient to thaw several pouches at a time.

Why is Dog's Seat more expensive than other leading brands?

Yes, Dog's Seat is considerably more expensive than other leading fresh dog food brands. Like with any food product, you get what you pay for. At the Dog's Seat we cook extremely small batches, made entirely with human hands. Hand cut, hand mixed, hand packaged, hand delivered. This insures we have the highest quality product on the market!

Beyond "Human Grade"

You'll hear the term "human grade" thrown around a lot in the fresh pet food industry. At Dog's Seat, yes, our ingredients are "human grade" but we have higher standards. One example, is that we use fish oil that is made from only small fish(think sardines and herring) off the coast of Iceland. Making oil from small fish instead of larger ones insures the mercury levels in the oil are kept to an absolute minimum. This product costs 10X to 20X as products made from larger species(think salmon or tuna). Every ingredient in Dog's Seat shares this highest quality standard.
